It was a beautiful evening in Oxford yesterday for Oxford Sixth Form College’s Open Evening. We were delighted with the record turnout from parents and students, visiting us from all over the world to discuss their individual teaching and learning options.

We had our Subject Specialists, Curriculum Managers, Senior Management team, Vice Principal and Principal on hand to help guide and advise students looking to join the college.

We prepare our students for success, and are delighted to see what they go on to achieve. This year our students progressed to some of the top universities in the UK, such as Cambridge, Warwick,  University College London (UCL) York, Bath, Bristol and Manchester.

“We are delighted that 70% of our students achieved their firm choice place with some outstanding individual results.  While we loudly applaud and celebrate our students receiving offers from the top universities, we place higher importance on the fact that through careful and expert guidance and support, all of our students are able to attend the university that best fits their individual goal”.  Mark Love (Principal)

Our students speak of the college environment as being a warm, friendly and a very welcoming place. Whether in the classroom at college or in our boarding houses, all staff provide wonderful guidance and support to ensure students enjoy their time with us and go on to help achieve their personal and academic goals.

Along with the traditional two-year A-Level programme, we offer an intensive one-year course, as well as 1, 2 and 3-term retakes. Our exam-free BTEC Business programme offers a flexible alternative to A-Level that is recognised by 95% of UK universities – perfect for those who prefer coursework to exams.

Our location in the very heart of the city of Oxford, with neighbours including University of Oxford colleges Oriel and Christchurch, is steeped in academic history and one that serves to inspire our students and us to build a successful future.

We enrol a maximum of 6 students in A-Level classes and a maximum of 10 in GCSE and BTEC classes. This allows teachers to really get to know their students and, where possible, adapt their teaching to your personal learning style. Students are more engaged, classes are more interactive and grades rise as a result. Everyone wins.
