We offer a rich programme of optional clubs and societies, which nurture our students' passions and talents. Our social activities provide endless opportunities for fun and friendship, too.
At Oxford Sixth Form College, we offer a lively programme of extra-curricular clubs and societies that complement our curriculum. Run by staff on a voluntary basis, activities range from chess and poetry to backgammon and biology.
If you're looking for something different, we can help you to organise your own activities, based around your passions.
We plan an exciting range of social events throughout the year, including film screenings, fundraising evenings, and a punting and picnic trip. Our informal welcome party kicks off the autumn term in style, while our Christmas celebration is always a popular occasion. Our Summer Ball is the perfect way to end a year of hard work.
You’ll also be free to make the most of everything Oxford has to offer. Our city is home to several excellent theatres and cinemas, as well as renowned galleries and museums.
Through a range of college-organised activities, our students get active, hone their skills, and compete in a variety of sports.
We book a sports hall each week for basketball and badminton, organise a floodlit pitch for five-a-side soccer, and make sure our students have access to tennis courts during the summer months. We can also introduce you to fantastic local and university sports clubs, including lacrosse, rugby, and hockey teams.
Organised and run by students, our societies embrace an ever-changing variety of subjects and interests. These range from a book group and charity club to evening table tennis, football, and basketball get-togethers. We also have subject-specific societies, which include law and medicine.
You’ll have the opportunity to join our lively Student Council, too. Working as a team, the Council co-ordinates donation drives and fundraising activities, implements healthy eating initiatives, and organises high profile social events.
