FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION (FAQs)

  • How quickly do you respond to enquiries?
We’ll aim to get back to you within 24 hours of receiving your enquiry (working hours, Monday to Friday).
  • How long does the admissions process take?
From the moment you get in touch with us to the offer of a place, our admissions process can – in some cases – only take three days. Timings do vary, though, as each student’s application journey is different. Please speak to our admissions team to find out more.
  • Do you offer boarding?
Yes, we offer boarding in comfortable houses, each of which is within walking distance of our main college site. Our accommodation is staffed by a wonderful team of highly skilled house parents, who provide the care and individual support each student needs to thrive.
  • Is the college open to all nationalities?
Oxford Sixth Form College is a truly international community that’s home to students from more than 35 countries. We embrace and celebrate our cultural diversity, learning, collaborating, and growing together as global citizens.
  • Will I need to sit an entrance exam or interview?

As part of the admissions process, prospective students are invited to an informal interview. This is an opportunity to talk about your strengths, academic interests, and hobbies, and discuss your personal goals – including university or career aspirations.

International students who don’t have IGCSE qualifications in English or maths will also be asked to sit an entry test. We may ask you to complete an English language assessment, too. If you’re applying for one of our scholarships, we’ll invite you to sit a test in the relevant subject.

To find out more, please get in touch with our admissions team or visit our eligibility page.
