In January, three of our students, Olivia, Gabriella and Melisa had the incredible opportunity to be part of the NAE Model United Nations Regional Event at International College Spain in Madrid! Forty students from across Europe gathered to discuss global issues and develop key skills like leadership, critical thinking, and collaboration. We were very proud of our students, with Melisa receiving high praise from the organisers and school leaders for her skills in chairing the Human Rights Committee!
During the Opening Ceremony guest speakers, including the former President of the UN General Assembly, shared their stories and expertise to inspire the students. Focusing on the theme of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Wellbeing (EDIB), they engaged in thought-provoking debates and shared innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
The event also included a visit to Madrid’s City Hall, where our students gained valuable insights into the role of public service and leadership in shaping society. We’re thrilled to have been part of such a transformative experience alongside our NAE school partners, empowering the next generation of global leaders.
