CIFE Awards 2023

CIFE-00308-scaled
Last month, Alexander Andrews was invited, along with his mother and Alison Hill (teacher of Biology), to the House of Lords where Lord Lexden presented him with a CIFE award for "Outstanding Contribution to College Life".

Alex joined the College in September 2021 and went on to achieve A*A*A* for A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. He has since progressed to New College, Oxford to read Experimental Psychology.

An able cricketer and active charity fundraiser, Alex brought great energy, wit and warmth to Oxford Sixth Form College and was both hugely respected and liked by students and staff alike. With a keen interest in politics, he played a large part in securing his team’s victory at the College debate held at the Oxford Union.

Alex is a fine example to all young people of how hard work, drive and motivation combined with humour and kindness can lead to success.

Please join us in congratulating him on this hugely-deserved award!
