WHO IS THE COURSE DESIGNED FOR?

For students from the U.K. and overseas, aged from 15 to 16, who wish to benefit from a greater level of support in smaller classes and from the high levels of personal attention and care for which Oxford Sixth Form College is renowned. Students aged 16 to 17 who wish to retake their GCSEs may also join this programme.

International students may study English for Academic Purposes (EAP) or IGCSE English (Second Language) instead of IGCSE English and IGCSE English Literature and this will be discussed during a student’s admissions interview.

Non-exam PSHEE and P.E. & Activities

Within a stimulating weekly programme of PSHE, students also develop and extend their creative skills through our Extra-curricular Programme with trips, sport and cultural events. There is also a vibrant social programme making extensive use of the many facilities within the city and University of Oxford.

HOW STUDENTS BENEFIT FROM THE COURSE

You will study using a range of techniques including group work, independent study, research, practical activities and homework. You will develop skills needed to succeed at the GCSE examinations.

In addition, the PSHE programme will facilitate the students developing creative skills.

Students will receive a high level of pastoral support from their Senior Tutor and a well structured and full timetable from 9.00 a.m. – 5.10 p.m. Monday to Friday.
