The Assessment Process

Oxford Sixth Form College operates an inclusive admissions policy. We invite all students to attend an informal interview with our Director of Admissions or one of our Regional Recruitment Directors. The purpose of the interview is to get to know you and gain a better understanding of your abilities and aspirations.

A place will be offered upon the assessment of the documents provided, and subject to successful completion of the interview.

International students who do not have IGCSE qualifications in English or Maths will be asked to sit an admissions entry test.

If you are applying for a scholarship you will be asked to sit an assessment in the relevant subject.

We may also ask you to complete an English language test if you have not previously been able to provide evidence of your English language level.

Receiving an Offer and Confirming Your Place

Following a satisfactory review of your completed application form and any submitted documents, we will notify you of our offer in writing (via email). The offer letter will include the College’s bank details for payment of the academic deposit and accommodation deposit (if applicable), as well as a non-refundable registration fee of £400. A College place is not secured until the registration fee payment has been received and the enrolment contract has been signed and returned to the school.

Pre-Arrival and Induction Information

Prior to your start date, our Admissions team will be in touch with full pre-arrival details and additional forms to be completed. You will also receive our Student and Parent Handbook, which contains everything you need to know about the College.
