Living Expenses

Allowance should be made for living expenses and pocket money during a student’s stay in Oxford. Where accommodation includes breakfast and evening meal, a weekly allowance of around £120 to cover lunches, bus fares and other miscellaneous costs such as toiletries, travel and entertainment is sufficient plus a termly amount of about £120 per subject for books and stationery. If a student is responsible for his or her own catering, an additional £80 per week will cover this adequately.

Travel To Oxford

Oxford has frequent and reliable coach links to and from both London Heathrow (LHR) and London Gatwick (LGW) airports. The cost of a one-way ticket from Heathrow is £25 (https://airline.oxfordbus.co.uk/heathrow/) and from Gatwick it is £30 (https://airline.oxfordbus.co.uk/gatwick/). This coach service currently accepts both euros and dollars in addition to pounds sterling.

Alternatively, there are rail services from both airports, though these will require a separate connection in London. Find information about times and fares at https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/.

We will provide an airport transfer from Heathrow or Gatwick unless a suitable alternative is confirmed with the College beforehand. Our nominated taxi service will meet the student at the airport arrivals hall with College identification and the student’s name clearly shown.   The cost of a one-way, unaccompanied, transfer from Heathrow or Gatwick airports is £310.

If you are flying into an alternative airport, you will find information rail services here: https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/.

Term and holiday dates are as stated on the Term Dates page.
