Amazing achievement, in one term, from our IELTS (International English Language Teaching System) students.

We are so proud of our students studying the one-term Academic Preparation Programme (APP) who achieved the IELTS grades necessary for them to move on to our January start A-level and BTEC Business programmes. We were delighted to see the superb achievements of the 2019 Autumn term students, who in one term saw band improvements of between 1.5 and 2.0. As you may know, most students increase by one band in one year, so these results are truly superb! ⠀

Our pre-sessional language course, the Academic Preparation Programme (APP), has helped many international students enter a BTEC and A-level course of study at Oxford Sixth Form College. Our students work incredibly hard to meet the College’s strict policy of improving their English by 0.5 on a termly basis. However, with the continued development of the course, over two-thirds of the APP cohort for 2019 were able to improve their English level by a full band (1.0) within one term, some achieving an incredible 1.5 or 2.0 band increase. The specialist team of English as an Additional Language (EAL) teachers have delivered well-structured and intensive classes to help these learners reach their goals, with lessons being catered to students’ needs to ensure that learning is ongoing and effective.

We have a limited number of places available to start the APP this term, so if you could benefit in the same way as the Autumn term 2019 students, please contact admissions as soon as possible.  APP students can choose from our one-, two- or three-term programmes and then join our #GCSE, #BTEC or #ALevel courses.
