TEACHER OF MATHEMATICS

Oxford Sixth Form College is seeking a 0.6 full-time equivalent (FTE), fixed term contract teacher of mathematics for the period 6th January – 19th June 2020.

Applicants must have experience of teaching A-level Mathematics.

The College offers two-year, five-term and one year academic programmes of study as well as two-term A-level retake courses.

The ideal candidate will have a mathematics degree and teaching qualification, as well as teaching experience and be flexible, knowledgeable, a skilled teacher and a team player.

A salary of up to £10,875 for the period 6th January – 19th June 2020 is available for the right candidate.

ASSISTANT HOUSEPARENTS (PART-TIME) – EVENINGS

In anticipation of the College’s boarding student community growing to 125 by September 2020, we are looking to recruit permanent contract, part-time Assistant Houseparents to work closely with the Heads of House in the delivery and development of the College’s boarding provision.

The successful candidates will have a very strong pastoral ethos and commitment to the care and welfare of young people. Excellent ICT, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, are also essential. Experience within boarding is an advantage, but is not essential as our focus is upon finding someone who shares our sixth form college values, and can successfully fulfil the requirements of the job description. Recent graduates continuing with their studies at masters or PhD level are welcome to apply. Please note that these roles do not include the provision of accommodation within a boarding house; they are ‘live-out’ positions.

The post holders will work on a four evenings off duty four evenings on duty rota, September – June (inclusive) excluding College Christmas and Easter holidays. When on rota on any of Sunday – Thursday, the hours of work will be from 7.00 p.m. – 10.00 p.m. When on rota on a Friday or Saturday, the hours of work will be 7.00 p.m. – 11.00 p.m. A salary of up to £5,750 pa.is available.

The ideal candidate will have an economics degree and teaching qualification, as well as teaching experience and be flexible, knowledgeable, a skilled teacher and a team player.

A salary of up to £11,000 for the period 6th January – 19th June 2020 is available for the right candidate.
