HOUSE PARENT

We are looking to recruit a full-time permanent contract House Parent to work closely with the Head of House in the delivery and development of the College’s boarding provision.

Based at our Student Boarding House, the successful candidates will have a very strong pastoral ethos and commitment to the care and welfare of young people. Excellent ICT, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, are also essential.

Experience within boarding is an advantage but is not essential as our focus is upon finding someone who shares our sixth form college values and can successfully fulfil the requirements of the job description.

Please note that this role does not include the provision of accommodation within a boarding house; it is a ‘live-out’ position.

The full-time house parent role is from (8.00 a.m. – 8.00 p.m.) with a salary of up to £25,000 being available. Staff work a four-day on/off rota.
