TEACHER OF MATHEMATICS

We are looking to recruit a teacher of Mathematics on a permanent, 0.8 full-time equivalent (FTE) contract to teach A-level and GCSE Mathematics and the NCUK IFY mathematics modules within the science, engineering and business foundation courses.

The successful candidate will have experience of teaching A-level and demonstrate a strong commitment to the ethos of an academically non-selective, diverse sixth form college.

The ability to teach another subject at A-level is desirable but not a requirement of the position.

Excellent ICT, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, are essential.

The post holder will teach for four days per week within the hours of work of 8.45 a.m. – 5.30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday – Friday inclusive..

A salary of up to £32,000 p.a. is available.

ASSISTANT HOUSEPARENT (PART-TIME) – EVENINGS MONDAY – WEDNESDAY

We are looking to recruit a permanent Assistant Houseparent to work closely with the Head of House in the delivery and development of the College’s boarding provision.

The successful candidate will have a very strong pastoral ethos and commitment to the care and welfare of young people.

Excellent ICT, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, are also essential.

Experience within boarding is an advantage but is not essential as our focus is upon finding someone who shares our sixth form college values and can successfully fulfil the requirements of the job description. Recent graduates continuing with their studies at masters or PhD level are welcome to apply.

Please note that this post does not include the provision of accommodation within a boarding house; it is a ‘live-out’ position.

The evening post holder will work from 7.00 p.m. – 10.00 p.m. Monday to Wednesday evenings. A salary of up to £5,900 pa.is available.

There may be occasions where you will be required to swap a shift to cover the weekend. Where the rota allocates the post holder to work on a Friday and/or Saturday, the hours of work will be 8.00 p.m. – 11.00 p.m. beginning Wednesday 1st September 2021 excluding College Christmas, Easter and summer holidays.
