Both in and beyond the classroom, you’ll be inspired by exceptional educators who bring a wealth of qualifications and experience to our classrooms. Experts in their field, more than two-thirds of our teachers have a Master’s degree. Our college is also home to industry specialists with a track-record of success in their field.
We promote strong teacher-student relationships, too, which are more collaborative than in traditional independent schools. This creates a supportive and empowering environment, where you can confidently express your ideas, get the guidance you need, and learn in a way that’s right for you.
We know that every student has their own aspirations, and our mission is to provide the support needed to achieve them.
To help you get to where you want to go, you’ll be allocated a Senior Tutor, who will mentor you throughout your time with us. The support they offer is wide-reaching, from weekly catch-up meetings and regular wellbeing check-ins, to help with choosing and applying for university.
Mark has more than 35 years’ experience in education, including two decades in Principal roles across four sixth form colleges. A passionate believer in personalised education, Mark and the team strive to create a supportive, inspirational environment where every success is celebrated. Mark joined Oxford Sixth Form College in November 2017.
Carole has over 35 years’ experience in education with a focus on teaching and management. She has a degree in Operational and Strategic Management in Education and has worked both in senior management roles and pastoral roles. She is the Designated Safeguarding Lead at the college and Safeguarding Governor for one of our sister schools. In her role as Vice Principal Carole has responsibilities across boarding, pastoral and academic courses, line managing the Director of Student Services and the Directors of Studies.
Marc has a BA in English Literature from the University of Roehampton. He has worked in Academic Management in the independent schools sector for nearly 20 years, both in Oxford and in London. Marc’s role encompasses the management of examinations, producing and managing the teaching timetable and enabling support for SEND students.
Lynette has over 12 years of experience in the education industry, having worked across both the independent and state sectors. She has worked within a number of roles in the College Admissions department and is therefore adept at crafting the perfect student journey.

Their experience enriches our curriculum, too, and ensures our students benefit from cutting-edge instruction that combines theoretical knowledge with real-world application.
Our teachers have access to a wealth of learning and development opportunities on the award-winning Nord Anglia University training platform, covering everything from lesson planning to metacognition. We also promote a culture of self-evaluation and peer support, which motivates our team and leads to innovation across the college.
