Mark has worked in education for nearly 30 years, including 15 years in Principal roles across four different colleges. A teacher of A-Level Economics, Business and Politics, his career has focused upon the academically non-selective sixth form college sector.Mark is a passionate believer in leading colleges that celebrate every student’s success, not solely those of the academic high achievers. He joined Oxford Sixth Form College in November 2017, after finding a college whose staff and students share his ethos.

Johnathan brings a wealth of expertise to the college, including Master’s degrees in Psychology and Education and a BA in Business Management. He is a qualified SENDCO and a member of the British Psychological Society. He has worked in education for 17 years with previous roles including Vice-Principal and Director of Studies.
Carole has over 30 years’ experience in education with a focus on teaching and management. She has a degree in Operational and Strategic Management in Education and has worked both in senior management roles and pastoral roles. She is the Designated Safeguarding Lead at the college and Chair of the Oxford Safeguarding Consortium.
Originally from Poland, Magdalena (Mags) moved to the UK over 13 years ago. She has a BA in English and Media from Leeds University and over 6 years of experience in the education sector. Mags takes great pride in her work and has a passion for helping students find the best programme to address their individual needs.
Marc has a BA in English Literature from the University of Roehampton. He has worked in Academic Management in the independent schools sector for nearly 20 years, both in Oxford and in London. Marc is responsible for co-ordinating students’ timetables and overseeing exams.
Washington holds a DPhil in Educational
Studies and an MSc in Educational Research Methodology, both from the University of Oxford, as well a BEd in Educational Administration. He has been teaching Maths and Further Maths for nearly 30 years and is an Associate Examiner for Pearson.
Yvonne holds an LLB in Law from the University of Manchester and qualified as an HR Manager and a member of the CIPD. She has previously held roles as Head of Faculty in state and independent schools, specialising in teaching dyslexic students and joined the College in 2014 to set up our successful BTEC Business Programme.
Sylvia has been teaching for over 15 years, having taught all levels from Introduction to Advanced in Oxford, Lisbon and Toronto. She has been in management roles for the past eight years and has a background in EAL curriculum development. She is interested in refining methods to boost student attainment.
Sevi has a Master’s degree in Education Materials and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. She has been working with international students for more than ten years and her ability to understand students’ learning styles and needs has allowed her to adopt an eclectic approach to teaching.
Robert has a BA in Humanities with a specialism in Religious Studies, but previously also studied Graphic Design and Computer Graphics and holds a CELTA qualification for teaching English as a second language. Previous roles include Head of International Students and Programme Manager for Academic Enrichment.
Marilou has a DPhil in Music Anthropology from the University of Oxford – where she continues as a research associate – and also holds Master’s degrees in Music, Culture and Communication. She also brings extensive pastoral experience to her Senior Tutor role, previously working as a Personal Tutor and a Warden.
Laura holds a BA in Applied Social Science and a Postgraduate degree in Psychology. Prior to joining the College, she gained a CELTA qualification and taught English as a Foreign Language during travels to Central America. Laura is certified Level 2 in counselling and Level 3 in safeguarding.
