Each year, as a member of CIFE (Council for Independent Further Education), we are invited to nominate an outstanding student for a prestigious award with the opportunity to attend the annual awards ceremony. Our chosen student from 2021 was none other than Nyasha Makwarimba who, throughout her time at the College, demonstrated an incredible commitment to study and was a much-valued member of the College community.

Nyasha, joined by Vice Principal Carole Nyssen and a family friend, enjoyed afternoon tea and sandwiches overlooking the Thames in the Cholmondeley Room of the House of Lords, before being presented with her award by Lord Lexden, OBE.

Nyasha achieved ABC in Politics, Business and English Literature A-Levels last year and is now studying Business and Management at St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn, New York.
